I've spent most of my life behind a desk
I always thought I’d loathe the day I had to work in an office, behind a desk, but I’ve done it all my life. It’s not bad. It’s not spectacular, but I guess in that way that you “can’t know happiness without knowing sadness,” it makes other things seem at least more interesting.
Thursday
Thursdays are always the hardest. Because my schedule is so similar from day to day, it’s easy to forget what I’m supposed to do or when I need to wake up or what I need to pack to class. Oh well, just have to stick it out.

I suggest more bands take a few years off to write albums like Hit the Lights did. Go on, I’ll wait.
Seriously though, grown men should not have to feel like they need to write songs for teenagers. I haven’t so thoroughly enjoyed an album from a band I liked at 15 as this one.

I love that my family is backing me up on my decisions. It helps knowing that I have people who are supporting me. I am motivated and I know I have to do this, and even if I don’t get in, I’ll know I tried. And I’m glad I’ll have people who will tell my parents it’s a good idea.

Bossypants
I now understand jokes in 30 Rock a lot better. The book is a nice, light reading. Overall, it’s pretty funny, but there are moments where you just have to laugh out loud and make a fool of yourself where ever you are.

I just realized that I have more free time now than I’ve had in the last four years. Second semester of freshman year in high school, I went to school Monday through Friday, and worked Saturday.
